Gita - Chapter 1, Verse 37

tasmān-nārhā vayaṁ hantuṁ
dhārtarāṣṭrān-sva-bāndhavān
sva-janaṁ hi kathaṁ hatvā
sukhinaḥ syāma mādhava

Meaning :

"Therefore Krishna, it is not suitable for us to kill our relatives, the sons of Dhrtarashtra. How can we be happy after killing our own kinsmen?."

Comment :

The explanations given by Arjuna supporting his arguments are never ending. He goes on saying to support his claim that killing his kinsmen is not a wise decision and it wont give any happiness as we wish.

We have heard about Confirmation bias and have done it irrationally to support our decisions in our journey of life too. Confirmation bias is the tendency to obtain information that supports one's decisions or beliefs but ignoring totally the information's that are inconsistent.

Arjuna's condition is an example to Confirmation bias, as he is trying to convince his claim by using information's or words while denying all together the irrationality or logical issues of his claim.
