Meaning :
"Oh What a pity!, though possessed of intelligence, we have set our mind on commission of a great sin due to lust for throne; we are intent in killing our own kinsmen."
Comment :
Arjuna is seen to become like a coward here, crying out about the sins he is going to make, even though they aren't. All this happens at a time when Arjuna needs to be brave. He also says that due to the lust for throne and enjoyment, they themselves are going to war with their own kinsmen.
In our society now-a-days, we can see a lot of people are performing wrong deeds out of their desire for wealth, enjoyment etc. All these activities shall end in destroying one's self. The person performing these heinous things shall think that he is victorious, but his end shall be a tragic one and shall realize the results of his own misdeeds.
