Arjuna saw there in both the armies - his uncles, teachers, even great grand-uncles, maternal uncles, brothers and cousins, sons and nephews, grand-nephews, friends, father-in-law and other well wishers as well. Comment :
As the chariot got placed on the middle of battle field, Arjuna got a chance to see all the people standing against him. He got sad by the sight of his uncles, teachers, uncles, sons and even friends against him , whom he might have to kill in the battle for the victory of Pandava.
Arjuna is referred as "Kripavishta", meaning one filled with mercy. This is not a good sign for true kshatriya, that too on the verge of a war.
Most of us would have encountered such a situation, at times, in our life too. Regarding certain decisions or during our exams, we also tend to get in a dilemma and lose all our confidence. Same is happening to Arjuna during the war.
Krishna helps Arjuna to get out of this dilemma and perform his duty as a Kshatriya, which is to obtain Kingdom.
