bhīṣhma-droṇa-pramukhataḥ
sarveṣhāṁ cha mahī-kṣhitām
uvācha pārtha paśhyaitān
samavetān kurūn-iti
Meaning :
Chariot being placed in front of Bhishma, Drona & all the kings, Krishna said : "Arjuna, Behold these kauravas assembled here".
Comment :
Krishna calls Arjuna as "Partha", meaning related to earth, i.e, the one who abides to the laws of death (Ordinary people). This indirectly shows that the Gita is not only for the Gods or Kings, it even considers the ordinary people in our society and applies to them as well.
Krishna asks Arjuna to watch the Kauravas stationed on the battle field and being the knower of all things, Krishna knew that Arjuna's mind is about to go unstable.
This is the reason why the Shloka addresses Bhishma & Drona, in particular, as they are among the Eldest, Powerful & Respected warriors, by both Pandavas & Kauravas.
