prakṛitiṁ puruṣhaṁ chaiva
kṣhetraṁ kṣhetra-jñam eva cha
etad veditum ichchhāmi
jñānaṁ jñeyaṁ cha keśhava

idaṃ śarīraṃ kauntēya
kṣētramityabhidhīyatē
ētadyō vētti taṃ prāhuḥ
kṣētrajña iti tadvidaḥ

kṣētrajñaṃ chāpi māṃ viddhi
sarvakṣētrēṣu bhārata
kṣētrakṣētrajñayōrjñānaṃ
yattajjñānaṃ mataṃ mama

tatkṣētraṃ yachcha yādṛkcha
yadvikāri yataścha yat
sa cha yō yatprabhāvaścha
tatsamāsēna mē śṛṇu

ṛṣibhirbahudhā gītaṃ
chandōbhirvividhaiḥ pṛthak
brahmasūtrapadaiśchaiva
hētumadbhirviniśchitaiḥ

mahābhūtānyahaṅkārō
buddhiravyaktamēva cha
indriyāṇi daśaikaṃ cha
pañcha-chēndriyagōcharāḥ

ichchā dvēṣaḥ sukhaṃ duḥkhaṃ
saṅghātaśchētanā dhṛtiḥ
ētatkṣētraṃ samāsēna
savikāramudāhṛtam

amānitvamadambhitvamahiṃsā
kṣāntirārjavam
āchāryōpāsanaṃ śauchaṃ
sthairyamātmavinigrahaḥ

indriyārthēṣu vairāgyam
anahaṅkāra ēva cha
janmamṛtyujarāvyādhi
duḥkhadōṣānudarśanam

asaktiranabhiṣvaṅgaḥ
putradāragṛhādiṣu
nityaṃ cha samachittatvam
iṣṭāniṣṭōpapattiṣu

mayi chānanyayōgēna
bhaktiravyabhichāriṇī
viviktadēśasēvitvam
aratirjanasaṃsadi

adhyātmajñānanityatvaṃ
tattvajñānārthadarśanam
ētajjñānamiti prōktam
ajñānaṃ yadatō'nyathā

jñēyaṃ yattatpravakṣyāmi
yajjñātvāmṛtamaśnutē
anādimatparaṃ brahma
na sattannāsaduchyatē

sarvataḥpāṇipādaṃ
tatsarvatō'kṣiśirōmukham
sarvataḥśrutimallōkē
sarvamāvṛtya tiṣṭhati

sarvēndriyaguṇābhāsaṃ
sarvēndriyavivarjitam
asaktaṃ sarvabhṛchchaiva
nirguṇaṃ guṇabhōktṛ cha

bahirantaścha bhūtānām
acharaṃ charamēva cha
sūkṣmatvāttadavijñēyaṃ
dūrasthaṃ chāntikē cha tat

avibhaktaṃ cha bhūtēṣu
vibhaktamiva cha sthitam
bhūtabhartṛ cha tajjñēyaṃ
grasiṣṇu prabhaviṣṇu cha

jyōtiṣāmapi tajjyōtis-
tamasaḥ paramuchyatē
jñānaṃ jñēyaṃ jñānagamyaṃ
hṛdi sarvasya viṣṭhitam

iti kṣētraṃ tathā jñānaṃ
jñēyaṃ chōktaṃ samāsataḥ
madbhakta ētadvijñāya
madbhāvāyōpapadyatē

prakṛtiṃ puruṣaṃ chaiva
viddhyanādi ubhāvapi
vikārāṃścha guṇāṃśchaiva
viddhi prakṛtisambhavān

kāryakāraṇakartṛtvē
hētuḥ prakṛtiruchyatē
puruṣaḥ sukhaduḥkhānāṃ
bhōktṛtvē hēturuchyatē

puruṣaḥ prakṛtisthō hi
bhuṅktē prakṛtijānguṇān
kāraṇaṃ guṇasaṅgō'sya
sadasadyōnijanmasu

upadraṣṭānumantā cha
bhartā bhōktā mahēśvaraḥ
paramātmēti chāpyuktō
dēhē'sminpuruṣaḥ paraḥ

ya ēvaṃ vētti puruṣaṃ
prakṛtiṃ cha guṇaiḥ saha
sarvathā vartamānō'pi
na sa bhūyō'bhijāyatē

dhyānēnātmani paśyanti
kēchidātmānamātmanā
anyē sāṅkhyēna yōgēna
karmayōgēna chāparē

anyē tvēvamajānantaḥ
śrutvānyēbhya upāsatē
tē'pi chātitarantyēva
mṛtyuṃ śrutiparāyaṇāḥ

yāvatsañjāyatē kiñchit
sattvaṃ sthāvarajaṅgamam
kṣētrakṣētrajñasaṃyōgāt
tadviddhi bharatarṣabha

samaṃ sarvēṣu bhūtēṣu
tiṣṭhantaṃ paramēśvaram
vinaśyatsvavinaśyantaṃ
yaḥ paśyati sa paśyati

samaṃ paśyanhi sarvatra
samavasthitamīśvaram
na hinastyātmanātmānaṃ
tatō yāti parāṃ gatim

prakṛtyaiva cha karmāṇi
kriyamāṇāni sarvaśaḥ
yaḥ paśyati tathātmānam
akartāraṃ sa paśyati

yadā bhūtapṛthagbhāvam
ēkasthamanupaśyati
tata ēva cha vistāraṃ
brahma sampadyatē tadā

anāditvānnirguṇatvāt
paramātmāyamavyayaḥ
śarīrasthō'pi kauntēya
na karōti na lipyatē

yathā sarvagataṃ saukṣmyād
ākāśaṃ nōpalipyatē
sarvatrāvasthitō dēhē
tathātmā nōpalipyatē

yathā prakāśayatyēkaḥ
kṛtsnaṃ lōkamimaṃ raviḥ
kṣētraṃ kṣētrī tathā kṛtsnaṃ
prakāśayati bhārata

kṣētrakṣētrajñayōrēvam
antaraṃ jñānachakṣuṣā
bhūtaprakṛtimōkṣaṃ cha
yē viduryānti tē param
